Art Exhibition & 2026 Orange Wine Launch

A collaboration with Krinklewood Wines
The Process

As part of the SAUVAGE collection, I created a natural pigment from the grape skins left behind during the winemaking process. The skins were slowly dried, ground, and transformed into a concentrated stain, which I then mixed with acrylic medium and incorporated into the paintings. This process allowed the material of the vineyard to become part of the work itself, not as a representation of the harvest, but as a trace of it. Skin, soil and landscape became quietly linked through colour, texture and touch.

Portrait of a woman holding a book titled "Under The Weight Of Summer" by Marisabel Gonzalez, 90x120cm artwork.

Six site-responsive paintings will be released at Krinklewood Estate during the opening event on May 30th.

SAUVAGE (wild in French) explores the parallels between the human body and the cultivated landscape, both shaped by cycles of vulnerability, labour, and resilience. Developed during an artist-in-residence at Krinklewood Estate, these works respond to the vineyard as a living organism; where the paintings, like the wine, emerge through layers and cycles of transformation.

At the centre of my practice is the wish to reveal the quiet connections between our inner world and the living systems around us.

This collection is not just visual, it's experiential. The works are personal, yet universal, as they uncover the intertwined rhythms between our body and nature.

Living with these works invites a slower, more reflective presence in your space. They are designed to integrate into daily life as quiet anchors, offering moments of pause, connection and meaning beyond aesthetics.

Through engaging with this collection, the collector begins to see themselves as part of a larger, living cycle; developing a deeper awareness of their own layered identity and a more intimate connection to time, memory and the natural world.
